New site? Maybe some day.

I had a cable modem die on me once and getting Comcast to look at it was like trying to get Joe Christianni to stop listening to Staind. It was right after a lightning storm and the modem had obviously taken a hit. It was behaving totally weird, and the computer wasn't recognizing it. I kept calling Comcast and they kept telling me it was my cable. Meanwhile I had a whole pile of Cat 5 cables and had tried about 10 of them with no luck. It took me half a dozen calls, and a pissed off email to even get someone to come out to look at it.
Verizon is twice as bad though. A while ago our router was fucking up so we asked Verizon to come take a look at it. They did everything they could to try and dodge taking responsibility for it. Finally they agreed to come out. A couple days before they were supposed to come my roomate called to confirm the appointment. They confirmed the appointment and confirmed our upgrade this astronomically priced Corporate Platinum whatever package that we had never ordered. It took him about 20 minutes on the phone to convince these people we didn't want it, at which point they gave us a new appoinment for a week later. |

I've never had a problem with Comcast, with either cable or internet.
Verizon is a nightmare. |
|
I have Verizon, and I don't have any problems with them at all |
|
The only thing I hate about comcast is they do not carry the horror channel. |
|
The problems I have had with Verizon were, granted, in the past (DSL). The worst customer service I've ever dealt with, ridiculous delays in service, and once they finally hooked it up, it never worked.
This was when I was helping an ex- hook up her internet. |
