Hey guys, I was contacted by the nice dudes in The Funeral Pyre about setting up a Boston-area date for September 12. I won't be able to do it due to a show I might be doing on the same night, but these guys fucking rock and are definitely worthy of some help. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on what you're into), they are going to be touring with some metalcore bands (Antagonist and On Paths of Torment), so I guess this would be directed to those who are more into that type of thing.

Shoot them a line at their myspace (http://www.myspace.com/thefuneralpyre ) if you can help them out.

This is a good band. Too bad it's with metalcore bands.

Agreed on both counts.

Perhaps Joe or someone who I think would be into this band would kidnap them on September 12th and move them to another venue, with some fitting bands. Sin of Angels, Seabeast, Shroud of Bereavement, all come to mind.

The "other show" I'm booking is Woods of Ypres and The Green Evening Requiem sometime in Spetmeber (but the date and details are nowhere near finalized). It turns out the two bands kind of know each other, so I think I'm going to try setting something up with Woods of Ypres, The Funeral Pyre, Green Evening Requiem, and a local or two (Extinction Agenda? hint hint) and maybe hook the metalcore dudes up with another show, which is why I was looking for someone who does that kind of thing.

They probably aren't going to be into splitting the tour up like that, but it's worth a shot.

We would definitely be down for that,
