ok, it's pretty easy.
what you need is
1) a way to record a radio show
2) a place to store the file
3) an xml file that gets updated when the file gets updated.
the basic premise of podcast is that your "viewers" don't have to do anything after they "subscribe" to the podcast. What happens is that iTunes or whatever application checks the XML file and when it's updated the "viewers" program will autodownload it to their iPod or minidisc player or whatever.
so to break down the steps:
1) do your radio show and get it into MP3 format. (I can go into more details if you need here)
2) place that file on the internet some where that you can link people to. my show is 140MB each week for 3 hours. so you are going to need a lot of space AND bandwidth.

3) make the xml file and place it on the web
this is software that will autogenerate that file for you:

just remember to update it every week.
there is a final step. you promote. install itunes and add your podcast, seach and add it on listenings. make a podpickle player. whatever.
