Mother's Day Massacre.

ok, I'm here now. there are probably 100-ish people. they are sort of spread out, but there are a bunch of cars in the lot. I'm hoping more people come. if you are a crustpunk and you aren't here, you aren't punk, you just like to smell bad.

the inside of giza is even better than before. the booths on the side are gone, opening up more floor room. the stage is also really high. the only thing they sound do is relocate the fire exit and move the stage over so it' not 1/2 in front of the bar.

I, Destroyer: running in for their last two songs sucked. I definitely feel like I missed something. the crowd was standing pretty far back from them. maybe it had something to do with the mic stand that fell off the stage, landing exactly at the feet of the crowd. the sound was superub for them. the only thing that would have been better was the back up vocals up a little more. pissed I couldn't have caught more of them.

strong intention: if you don't know these guy, they are the perfect band to play with phobia. Their sound prefectly fits (with some deathgrind). This place is a dance club so the bass was thumping way too high. I don't even think I've ever even noticed the low end in their CDs. Besides that, they sounded awesome. Not sure why both guitarists got mics. Only one of them sings. The drums are up on a riser that puts the drummer at about eye level with the other guys. It's one of those portable things so it looks like the drummer is playing in san fran during an earthquake. That must be distraction.

Well it's pretty gay this show started so early, I was about to leave and came here for directions and saw it's almost over.

Yeah, by the time I was done with everything I needed to do today, this show already started. And the next time this tour comes around is the same day we play with Bitchslicer. Weak.

Someone tell Phobia to drive up here and play in my bedroom when their stupid matinee show is over.

misery index: simply awesome. They always bring it and I have yet to see them play were theywerent awesome. Through their entire set, I was wondering why nobody was slamming. That's cause I was in the "headbanging" area and not the "slamming" area. Don't get those confused. When I finally look over my sholder, I saw a crowd of studded dudes slamming around. That made me feel better. They played a bunch of stuff, including 2 tracks off the first EP which rule.

He does, and it's all thanks to me and my threats of physical violence.

I haven't been MIA because of her, I lost alot of money at the Unearthly Trance show and then went to Canada for a bit and spent money I didn't have so I am working 7 days a week, including occasional 2 shifts per day. When I am not working I am sleeping, except I took tonight off to see phobia and it started at 5 because club giza sucks.

Joe's girlfriend is hot and very cool.

The club itself: Looks like it was designed by Joe Christianni and Therion. The bouncers were a bunch of limpdick goons. They carried a guy out, smashed his head off the door, and beat him outside all because he was smoking in the bathroom. I wouldn't be surprised if they all played on a softball team.

I Destroyer: great name for a metal band first of all. they were dece. i was suprised no one seemed to care at all, but it was a typical 1st band at a metal show.

strong Intention: the singer looked like a fat Marc Summers. they had some good stuff but all the songs sounded exactly the same

misery index: sloppy shit set. they've gotten progessively worse. there's nothing brutal about them anymore at all, just another middle ground cookie cutter metal band.

Phobia: awesome. Phobia was the whole reason I came, and they earned it. All the stuff they played off means of existence blew me away. great set.

Disfear: I had never heard or seen them before. What a fun set. Everybody went nuts, and the band itself had the best attitude. It was a total breath of fresh air for me.

Nobody twostepping or acting like a bigshot because they know Bury Your Dead: Priceless.

I was getting worried that Nine Shocks Terror wasn't going to play because their van broke down somewhere, but they came in and played after Disfear, that was one seriously rowdy circle pit. I probably shouldn't have been standing so close to the stage at some parts though, the bassist was whipping the thing around and his headstock missed my face by a couple inches. Whatever. Phobia was incredible, watching that drummer go at it was something else. It takes a lot of stamina to play a set full of songs like that. I'd never heard Misery Index but they actually surprised me, better than I thought they'd be. The bassist was actually sick, I saw him later in that night and he told me, sounded like he had a pretty bad cold. It was also cool they put out a split 7" with Bathtub Shitter...all in all, a great night.

all the roads I've driven down have been closed.. I'm still trying to get north of boston

i think you should find out what roads are closed..i'm still looking at that map and 129 would have been really close to try and get on 95 and it was right off route 1 close to where the block was, right before it actually ..
