They are very similar, but I prefer the blade switch of the 301 as opposed to the 3-way toggle on the 300.

I have a customized NT II in the works.

ESP won't do a one off of any of their production models for most dealers, but Shane (pretty much the only ESP retailer for australia) can order one offs of production models, so I ordered an NTII with quilted maple top,transparent white finish, black binding on the body and HS, white binding on the fretboard, black hardware, dual EMG 60s, hipshot downtuner.... Shit's gonna be pimp.

Yup. 60s.

Alot of people use the 85s because they want an 81 with more low end, but I think the 85 has to much low end.

The 60 is right in the middle and pinches are sweat.

I have two more horizons not pictured above, but all of my guitars have dual 81s, 60s, or 85s currently except for the MH250s (one has Liscensed ESP-EMG lh300s, and the other has EMG HZ H4s).

I hate the 85 in the neck. It's 'okay' in the bridge, but the 85 is very picky about what amp your running. Some it will sound great in, but my perticular amps it sounds like pooty.

I don't like Seymour Duncan's that much, they are okay, but my current jacksons have Dimarzio X2Ns. (soloist and shitty js30 rhoades)
