I came to see zao and hear the in flames songs, even off the new cd. I don't give a fuck if nobody at all likes them. but to everyone who said bad things in this thread, I'm going to forward you thice and thursday pictures.

this show is gay... you can't use flash at all. at the palladium? this is in furiating. during zao it was ok, but not after that. my devil driver pictures are almost worse than if I used flash. atleast you can't see whatever-his-name-is in my shots that clearly.

zao: they were late, showing up with only 10 minutes to get ready and get out on stage. why is it when ever I see zao, I have to ask mysel "who is that?". They are the spinal tap of.. Well.. Just about every member. They played a bunch of good songs at the beginning. It would have been awesome if there weren't feed back for those songs. Something was wrong in the house system and it was all just feed back. They played and sounded really good after that, except when the guitarist sang. I don't like the 2nd to last CD cause of that. not many in the audience seemed to be into them and I heard quite a few "you sucks" and "devikdriver!!!!!" from the crowd.

the photopit is full of people I've never seen before. all of them girl carrying around multiple alcoholic beverages. I'm guessing their open fronted shirts may have gotten then in the photopit. I was afraid for the gear I brought. then 1 of the bouncers started checking ids and the photopit cleared out nice and fast!

in flames should be ok since I've shot them before sans flash, but when it's nothing but weak red lights.. you are f'd.

which is rather fitting seeing since their egos are growing out of control

not that it's a huge deal, but was their set list mostly newer stuff or did they finally man up and play some shit off of Jester Race/Lunar Strain?

they just dropped a new album on a huge label...lets see...play old shit no one has ever heard of? or play new shit from a new album...what do you think.

from what people told me, their egos are actually smaller now. from whatever one told me, they are even nicer to everyone now.

in flames has a small article in the new guitar world and they talk about playing ozzfest last year and they were asked if they learned anything from it..."never play ozzfest again"

If they'd only talked to me first, I could've saved them a lot of time.

I havnt been to the Palladium in ages.They dont get enough bands that I like playing there.Next show for me there will be Mordid Angel in April.

trivium: so not that anyone reading this cares, but the lighting was all reads starting off their set. After that it got better. They played really well. it was wicked loud in there. My ear plugs weren't doing enough to ut out the noise. About 1/2 way through their set, they covered pantera's "walk" and thus making it the must frequently covered song since reign in blood. trivium actually had the audience hopping up and down togther.. It was hilarious. I don't really care for their CDs as much as their live show.

if they bitch about it, the pictures are going to suck cause they haven't taken the time to set up lighting.

if you go there knowing there will be no flash, they usually have good lighting set up.. well, sometimes.

Bands that complain about photographers shouldn't be allowed to live.

in flames: no matter what people think, I can still enjoy in flames sets as long as they are going to play some of the older tracks. I’m not about to list the songs they played cause if you want to know that it’s like one of the first images. Anyhow, for a bunch of guys that are big old sell outs, they were smiling very broadly as they played their set. It hard for a band to fake it when they are really enjoying themselves up on stage. One thing that did suck was waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and then the smoke machine would come on and… nothing. More waiting. They took so god damn long to come out on stage. I actually had to stand up and get ready multiple times before they were actually on stage. As stated above the lighting sucked so my pictures sucked. They played really awesome though. This was the 5th time I shot them at the palladium I think. They knew the drill with the crowd and how Worcester crowds go over the top of bands. Towards the end of the set, Andres said that his voice wasn’t doing so well. Through some negotiation with the crowd, a kid finally came up on stage and sang a full song. It was pretty hilarious and cool all at the same time. Probably that kids highlight those far in life. The funniest part was when the guitars were all “meedlymeedly mmeeeeeeeeee” he did that strong bad style into the microphone. It was all hugs and he went back into the audience to enjoy the rest of their set. The sold out crowd was rocking the balcony really had upstairs. That makes me very nervous. in the end, I cut out a few songs before the end of their set to sort through the 23490 terribly blurry and underexposed pictures that I took.

They were smiling because they just took everyones money and are about to shit on them. The last few times I've seen them they've dummed down the older songs and chugged em out, which made me die a little inside.

That's pretty cool about the kid though, I can't imagine how cool that must be...you know, if it were a good band.

Actually, I think I heard a few people from the audience scream "TURN YO' FUCKIN' FLASH DOWN", and that, because of you, using flash is prohibited in the state of MA.

if think that my flash at this show wasn't any worse than anyone elses. I didn't even take it off my camera.
actually on stage right at the end of zao my flash went off too strong accidentally.

what they don't understand is if I hit 84 flashes a second I go back in time. that's how I go to so many shows

I'm just fucking around. Although there were some random kids in the crowd yelling shit at me. I thought the whole deal at the Nile show was pretty funny.

I also got called and asshole cause after the 3 songs, I packed up and headed out of the pit with my camera over my head. I guess some guy's gf got pulled away from him wiht my backpack and he yelled "hey you fucking asshole, blahblahblahblah"

why dont all you IN FLAMES assholes take a listen to DISSECTION and find out where the real swedish melodic death metalers are....seriously, check them out....they absolutely rip.....even ask Nergal from Behemoth, he'll tell you the same thing
