I turned it back on, but I may have to shut it off again if my fix doesn't like totally work dude.
I'm actually still going to re-write the searching algorithm to include fulltext based searches, but that would increase the indexing on the database by something like times 3 (from 9MB to 44mb) which increases the whole discussion databade like about a 3rd (from 95MB to 130MB).
please, do not abuse this feature as it still not the "best" solution and can still lock up the database. thankfully, I turned a query that was taking between 10 and 45 seconds into one that takes between .1 to 3 seconds.
I guess.. I need to re-do the searching and do fulltext index searches. I just didn't write that yet.
I also want to put in a date selector that defaults to 1 month.
I guess the "feature" I need to really make it work more slick is in MySQL 5.. but I'm not bleeding edge enough to upgrade to that yet.
