Central Hockey League Partners With Metal Blade Records/ Metal Blade named Title Sponsor of Nightly CHL "Power Players"
The Central Hockey League has today announced a new partnership with Metal Blade Records, which will see the burgeoning music organization receive title sponsorship of the CHL's "Power Players of the Night" daily throughout the 2003-2004 season.

Metal Blade Records will receive League-wide exposure on CHL signage, print media, website and with the unique "Metal Blade Power Players of the Night." CHL Marketing Manager Aaron Jackson welcomed the addition of Metal Blade Records to the CHL corporate family, noting; "Metal Blade Records are well-known for their ultra-aggressive approach in marketing metal music, and we feel this is a natural partnership in promoting the intensity of game action within the CHL." Following each game day, selected players will appear on the front page of the CHL website, at www.centralhockeyleague.com, with details regarding their on-ice achievements.

The Central Hockey League begins its' 12th season of play October 16th with 17 teams (including the expansion Colorado Eagles and Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees) in eight states, and is the only minor pro hockey league in North America to show consecutive attendance increases the past two seasons, finishing with an average per-game attendance of 4,401 in 2002-2003.

AS I LAY DYING update from Tim...
"Furnace Fest was great. We had the biggest crowd on Friday night. We are currently getting ready to shoot a video in September. We haven't really decided on what song to do the video for, one possibility is the track 94 Hours. We are excited to continue touring and can't wait to go out with Haste again."

THE HEAVILS
"Saturday we played at Nite Caps in Chicago, IL. It seems every show we have been playing is better than the last one. Nite Caps had to turn people away because they went past the fire capacity that the bar could hold. It was a small stage but a fun show. Corey Taylor from Slipknot won the Jagermeister Guitar giveaway. We met Lionel Ritchie at the Chinese restaurant that we ate at before the show. Marilyn Manson, Corey, Pair and Amy from Suspect made the trip. We will be having another giveaway at one of the next shows. We will be loading into Jonny B's this Tuesday to start preparing Demo's for the next album." - Milo

The Heavils will be playing Elixur in Rockford, IL with Left 4 Dead and Suspect on Thursday Aug 21st and at Kryptonite in Rockford on Friday Aug 29th with One Little Sin.

VEHEMENCE FINISH WRITING "HELPING THE WORLD TO SEE"
Vehemence are finished writing material for the upcoming album "Helping The World To See" due in early 2004 on Metal Blade Records. Recording of the album is scheduled to start mid September and end late November. Will Solares and Vehemence will handle production duties.
