No death doom? or other doom variants? maybe someone should draw a circle around the show and figure out if they are missing out on some other good locals. Ichabod and Noosebomb are from MA. I have no idea where the others are from. Noosebomb is ex-Grief, if you have friends who're more old school MA doom than that, I'd love to see them. I think the idea is to put on a fest that has a broader appeal, which means more bands from out of the area. I'm sorry you or your friend's band didn't get to play.

I dunno if Shroud asked Joe or not, but this year is pretty low on locals in general. I think Sin of Angels is actually the only band from Joe's own label that's playing this thing. He took a big hit last year, and I think is trying to recoup with this one. I doubt it's personal.

The fest from last year had no bearing on this years fest, other then the change of venue. The bands listed on the fest contacted me with the exception of Benumb, The Hidden Hand and Fuck the Facts. You might be mad that Shroud of Bereavement isn't playing, so don't come. Bill's Bar will sell out and tickets go on sale soon. The fact of the matter is Shroud of Bereavement didn't try to get on so you can blame them.

I posted I was doing another fest on this site and the relapse message board and as a myspace bulletin and assembled the line up from replies of those messages. I'm happy with the line up so complain away!
