Got here last night in the dark and didn't see much but got up this morning to a killer breakfast at Waffle House. The Smoky Mountains are a site to see. It was over 70 degrees today and more great weather in the forecast. Hopefully I'll get a chance to check out some clubs soon and see if there is any sort of scene. How's the weather back in MA?

Waffle House is hands down the best breakfast joint I have ever eaten at. I went to one when Leukorrhea was on tour a couple years back and never miss the chance to eat at one since. Scott, I have no computer right now to make sure my team is all set but I'm not to worried, the first time our teams met it was a slaughterfest. Have you got better players this time? Bahahahaa

Yeah it was quick... Not making money back home was killing me and my family. Cigarettes are only 3.20 gas is only 2.26 a gallon, bread is only .79 and most everything else is cheap too. I went from a 1400 a month rent to 700. Hopefully I'll finally be able to get ahead in life here. I have an interview tomorrow for a production manager at a graphic arts place and it looks good so far. Hopefully everything else goes as well as it has been.

since there's all this talk of snow and this thread relates to Knoxville I'll compare NE winters and the winter so far here, in Knoxville.

Back in the NE a winter weather warning means lots of snow is coming, for real, and prepare for a shitty time of being caged up. But for some odd reason, hidden in the back of their minds, most people don't mind the snow. I used to mind it, actually hated it most of the time but.... read on...

Here in Knoxville, TN when we get a winter weather warning and it's 38 degrees out calling for rain maybe sleet, and if we're lucky a very fine dusting of snow if the temp drops enough overnight. TN has no snow removal equoipment compared to the armies of snowplows in NE. There are a few trucks if something happens. But that doesn't matter much since most of the people are to scared to drive in sweatshirt weather. The grocery stores are packed with people when word of snow comes, which NEVER happens. They buy bread and water and you can't find any even if you just need to buy some for your peanut butter and fuckin jelly sandwiches. They go nuts thinking the end is coming. I try to remind them of the storm we had last year. Or was that the whole fuckin season? NE was frozen last winter. I want these people to feel the NE weather for a change. I am bringing pics to work to prove it, since I took a bunch last winter of my backyard.

MORAL OF THE STORY: yeah winter sucks, snow sucks and the freezing cold sucks BUT you don't miss it till you need to rub it in someone's face that rain is not snow and they need to drive faster and not drive into eachother when it downpours. They should know what it's like to be stuck in a house for two days during the snowstorm and not be able to open the door even if you wanted too... damn here I go again...
