KROKUS will be at Mark's Showplace in Bedford, NH this coming Wednesday, September 14 w/SUICIDE DREAM, GRAVEHEART (formerly Blistered Earth), and CSDO. The show is 18+, starts at 7 pm, and tickets are only $5 in advance!!!

This is Suicide Dream's first performance ever in New Hampshire, and we are required by the venue to sell at least twenty tickets in advance, so we are counting on everyone's support. Please e-mail me at shadow@neca.com for tickets.

(And I do realize that posting a Krokus thread here is like putting up a huge bull's eye, but I really don't give a fuck. Let the flames begin...)

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Sep 8,2005 12:28pm
it's not the Krokus part that puts a bullseye on it, it's the CSDO if people open it

Krokus...80s rock is funny to listen to, no chance I'd go to NH from RI for it though.

what happened to BLISTERED EARTH? whats up with the name change? i went to their myspace accpunt it make no mention of this?

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD at Sep 9,2005 3:32pm

I think the name change must have happened very recently because it even says "Blistered Earth" on the tickets.

Here's where I heard about the name change: (third post down)

Well hopefully one of these days we'll get you out to a Suicide Dream show, Rev... (we're probably the only metal band in New England you haven't seen live yet... literally )

toggletoggle post by dwellingsickness at Sep 10,2005 5:22pm
I have to agree with Rev here........... Bruisers re-union is a better show than this one

Ha ha, that reminds me of something funny. I was watching a metal show on one of those extra music video channels a few weeks ago, and I saw the video for "Screamin' in the Night" for the first time. Now I always thought the song was really good, but the video... the video was just HILARIOUS. I mean laugh out loud cheesy, including a part where Mr. Afro is at a diner, and gets up and walks forward on the counter as he sings passionately to the girl on the TV in the diner. I'm not doing it justice by describing it, you have to see it for yourself, it is SO ridiculous looking you will piss yourself.

Although, to be fair, all videos from that era were cheesy, including those made for good songs...

'breakin the law', anyone?

toggletoggle post by dan_bloodblister at Sep 12,2005 11:20am
the 80s were the greatest decade of the 1900's, no contest

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD at Sep 12,2005 2:59pm
Agreed. More great music was more accessible to people in the 80's than at any other time. (Ironically, many hardcore thrashers from back in those days would complain about all the hair metal on mainstream radio, but now it's painfully clear to everyone that the worst hair metal song is about a billion times better than any of the liquid shit played on mainstream radio in the last ten years).

I was just saying that videos, being a new media form in the early 80's, took a couple years to put themselves in perspective.

We decided that at the beginning of the show we will be meeting outside with people who wanted tickets but didn't have time to get them in the mail. Anyone who is planning on going to this show can e-mail me at shadow@neca.com up to 5 pm on Wednesday, and we'll make arrangements to meet up so you can get your tickets for the cheap $5 price.
