eric clapton is grossley over rated

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at Jun 7,2005 5:13pm
hrmmm ok.

toggletoggle post by subjugate   at Jun 7,2005 5:16pm
baker and bruce are cool and cream had some good tunes but i think clapton gets way more credit than he deserves as a guitarist

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jun 7,2005 5:17pm
how can you overrate a guy who's nickname is "slow hands"?

toggletoggle post by subjugate   at Jun 7,2005 5:20pm
it's "slow hand"

i dunno he just dosen't do it for me ands i saw him 2 times

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jun 7,2005 5:27pm
he's still pretty damn good though...but nothing too fantabulous

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at Jun 7,2005 5:31pm
just a different style...hes regarded for his 'tone' and arrangements.
Ya, I understand what ur saying tho. no way he'd keep up with necrophagist or something like that.

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jun 7,2005 5:32pm
that'd be too much...we should request a tour

toggletoggle post by Sinistas   at Jun 7,2005 5:38pm

i appreciate a lotta different styles of guitar and music eric YAWN clapton just dosent move me

nuthing to do with speed slow or fast i dig both, i like cream they are "ok" in my opinion but i like em more for the rtyhm section than the guitar playing

nope, once again the answer lies in anal cunt: "your kid committed suicide because you suck"

You were sick of hearing 'You look Wonderful Tonight'
So you jumped out a really high up window.
Sometimes I wish you didn't die
Because I hate that song 'Tears in Heaven'

ha!
ps: I get 2 points for this post.

toggletoggle post by DreamingInExile   at Jun 8,2005 7:50am
sweet, this is one of the best downloads I've seen in a while. I haven't listened to Cream/Clapton/Derek and the Dominoes/The YardBirds etc in so long. I grew up on classic rock, and to this day Clapton is one of my fav guitarists.

Kok, as far as Clapton vs. Sucimez sure, sucimez will walk circles around him, but that's his style, he's a Neo-Classical shredder (and a damn good one) where as clapton is a straight up Blues guitarist. big difference. both are greats at what they do.

Thanks for this post Aaron!

I agree with that. wether or not anyone else does is a matter of their own opinion, and that's their choice. I not gonna bash anyone that dosen't like him. He's one of the reasons I picked up guitar in the first place, so in my eyes, yeah, he is a greater guitar deity

Youre both soooo white.

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at Jun 8,2005 8:21am
Us black folk like Chuck Berry more.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 8,2005 8:32am
you obviously just showd yourself to be a white there.
as dave chapelle showed us, black people like drums not guitars. guitars are for white people like aerosmith, AC/DC, guns n roses and jimi hendrix.
