You guys nailed it. I love that atmospheric Burzum worship stuff, and between Xasthur and Leviathan alone you can usually count on 5-6 releases a year, so there is never really a shortage of stuff to check out.

I picked that split up at Aquarius (www.aquariusrecords.org), which is a cool place to snag black metal since they always have a lot in stock and because they serve mainly the indie rock/experimental type of crowd, there is usually a few hard to find things just sitting there (though I think they are out of that split now).

About the streams, there are 5 different ones up at www.wzbc.org, including a 256k if your connection can handle it.

yeah Andee (of Aquarius Records) is fuckin' cool, we got into a correspondence last week and I've been telling him about the burgeoning Black Metal scene here

plus, he put out the Leviathan 2-CD Verrater, that is a slab of pure hatred. Beautiful.

and actually I just noticed that Moribund Records Online Shop still has the Leviathan/Iuvenes split CD, you guys may wanna jump on that because I had to order it from Germany originally.

damn it.. I need to get my line-input on my encoder working better...
and then take a direct feed from program out off my board. right now we take a feed from an air-monitoring line which is off off 44.1Khz 16bit digital signal chain... it's from an antennae. that means that it's only 22.1Khz (analog) stereo. it makes no sense to pump out 256Kbps on a 22.1Khz stream. you've essentially be upsampling it.

My station's studio monitors are all f'd up so maybe I can take a line from the digital signal chain and d/a it to the computer.... hm.... Right now, when you click off the transmitter, a country music station comes over the monitors VERY loud.

Yeah, I'm not sure how the new streams are set up (straight from the board I believe, but I don't know any of the details other than that), but we used to take the signal from an antennae from somewhere north of boston, which was pretty terrible.
