(Sorry rev; didn't add this to the SHOWS/EVENTS PAGE first because it's too complicated...)

Benefit Show at the Mallard (right next-door to Roman's) in Brockton, ma
on Saturday June 25th. All 3 members of Wargasm, members of Steel Assassin, Triphammer, Madd Hunter, Every Second, and Tongue & Groove have mixed up all of the bands above and formed 3 new 'bands' for the event.

The 3 bands will play the music of:
IRON MAIDEN/ JUDAS PRIEST/ MOTORHEAD/ MERCYFUL FATE/ DEEP PURPLE/ BLACK SABBATH/ UFO/ ANGEL WITCH/ ACCEPT/ SCORPIONS/ RAINBOW/ CHEAP TRICK/ SAXON/ Y&T/ RIOT/ DEF LEPPARD/ KROKUS/ TYGERS OF PAN TANG

There will be three 1-hour sets. Doors at 8; $10.00 admission, 21+

The benefit is for Jim Blute, former manager of Wargasm and Steel Assassin, and former booking agent for the Kenmore club, where in the mid-80's, the Boston Metal Scene was born. Together with Mike Jones, WERS DJ who originated Nasty Habits, and DJ at the club, the two of them gave the Boston metalheads their own radio show and their own place to hear metal and see great bands play. Metal Church, Exodus, Fates Warning, Nuclear Assault, Talas, Tank, Raven, Armored Saint, Saxon, and many more were booked into the Kenmore Club by Jim. Local bands were ALWAYS on the bills as openers, and many of the bigger local bands of the era got their start via Jim.

Critically ill for months, in and out of a comatose state, with multiple organ failures and many complications, Jim needs assistance and his friends want to help. What better way to raise money to help out than by playing his favorite music all night? If you're into old-school 70's & 80's metal, or if you're into any of the musicians/bands that are performing, or just want to help out and give respect to a true local METAL pioneer, come down to the gig.

Cheap Beer & good pizza too.

Email me at thirdknuckle@msn.com with any questions etc

Jim Blute, damn. He Was My dads old band manager, does steel assassin sound familiar?
There was 2 lineups of steel assassin, and my dad was in teh origional, his name is Mark Krim. I am his son Robert. My dad was the old bassist for steel assassin, from 81 ish-82 or 83, untill the splitup of the origional lineup. Keven Curren and the other members continued the band after they origional lineup split up. My dad was telling me that Kevin always wanted to be in Steel Assassin, but he never got a chance to get in, untill they split up. Ill be sure to tell my Dad Mark on Jim's health condition.

Have a nice night.
