If your kids dont clean their room after countless threats, groundings, and toy confiscation, just go in their room ranting and raving like a lunatic, be sure to use the 'f' word, so they know you mean business, and dismantle a plastic kids mic stand toy, and wield it as a weapon.
this will bring instant tears and fear to your children.
If this is not enough, then actually swing the weapon around like your trying to hit them, but theyve somehow eluded the throes of a 30 year old madman.
This is sure to get your children to do whatever it is they are supposed to do.
