New site? Maybe some day.

http://www.returntothepit.com/audio/mp3player2.html
this is a super proto-type
open it up and hit play.
please tell me how long it takes for the sound to start and if you are on:
cable, LAN or dial-up.
also, tell me if you are behind a corporate firewall

|
you know i like it
and it sounds great and you know my net info |
|
how long did it take from when you hit play until it started to play. |
|
less than a second
make the buttons cooler
let me try again.
yep it's immediate |
|
of course it's immediate now. |
|
well it was fast the first time too |
|
yea it was pretty instant
ohhhhhh! cable |
|
took about 4 seconds but im in a dorm and the internet here is painfully slow |
|
yeah, it was less then a second for me, Comacst Cable (dl 4mb/s) it's also 8:30 in the morning... no I don't think anyone is on.
and it's still on because it's playing porphyria those guys rock the house |
|
im on cable, page opened instantly, the song took about 20 seconds to start playing |
|
faster than your little sister.
cable. |
|
Listening to the live porphyria track and on a nice pair of studio monitors instead of shitty comp speakers and it sounds pretty good. If you could record track by track to remix later when you have live bands it could sound really good. |
|
bump again though i can\'t try here

|
took a couple seconds, im on cable, no firewall |
|
-none of the graphics loaded properly for me. I had to guess where Play was.
-no corporate firewall, though our ISP acts funny sometimes, as does the Airport we use.
-the sound would have a 1 second recycle, meaning if someone said "oh" it would play "oh oh" then if they said "the" it would go "the the" so everything duplicated.
-We have cable, run through a wireless Macintosh Airport.
-normally we don't have any flash problems, but XML and some other applets do not load properly from time to time, so I'd keep that in mind. |

ditto |
|
I was waiting for a mac person...
I hadn't checked it on my mac yet.
I used button widgets on this test which mac flash doesn't support for some reason. |
|
i'm on a ibook
page loaded instantly but i'm not sure if all the graphics loaded properly or if thats what it really looks like
took about 15 seconds for the song to start |

I've got a mac-n-trash at home, actually, it's only PearPC running OSX 10.3, but it still qualifies as a macntrash... |
