this is a super proto-type
open it up and hit play.
please tell me how long it takes for the sound to start and if you are on:
cable, LAN or dial-up.
also, tell me if you are behind a corporate firewall

toggletoggle post by DreamingInExile   at Mar 8,2005 8:26am edited Mar 8,2005 8:27am
yeah, it was less then a second for me, Comacst Cable (dl 4mb/s) it's also 8:30 in the morning... no I don't think anyone is on.

and it's still on because it's playing porphyria those guys rock the house

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Mar 8,2005 8:27am
im on cable, page opened instantly, the song took about 20 seconds to start playing

toggletoggle post by Josh_hates_you  at Mar 8,2005 8:51am
faster than your little sister.

cable.

toggletoggle post by Josh_hates_you  at Mar 8,2005 8:56am
Listening to the live porphyria track and on a nice pair of studio monitors instead of shitty comp speakers and it sounds pretty good. If you could record track by track to remix later when you have live bands it could sound really good.

bump again though i can\'t try here

toggletoggle post by JonahBloodbath   at Mar 8,2005 9:46am
took a couple seconds, im on cable, no firewall

toggletoggle post by the_taste_of_cigarettes  at Mar 8,2005 10:54am
-none of the graphics loaded properly for me. I had to guess where Play was.
-no corporate firewall, though our ISP acts funny sometimes, as does the Airport we use.
-the sound would have a 1 second recycle, meaning if someone said "oh" it would play "oh oh" then if they said "the" it would go "the the" so everything duplicated.
-We have cable, run through a wireless Macintosh Airport.
-normally we don't have any flash problems, but XML and some other applets do not load properly from time to time, so I'd keep that in mind.

I was waiting for a mac person...
I hadn't checked it on my mac yet.

I used button widgets on this test which mac flash doesn't support for some reason.

toggletoggle post by dirtycrayon at Mar 8,2005 11:02am
i'm on a ibook
page loaded instantly but i'm not sure if all the graphics loaded properly or if thats what it really looks like
took about 15 seconds for the song to start

if someone's at home sitting on AOL or Cable, can you try this one:
http://www.wunh.org/mp3/wunhmp3player.html
click play and tell me if WUNH plays or not.

I've got a mac-n-trash at home, actually, it's only PearPC running OSX 10.3, but it still qualifies as a macntrash...

it's hanging on "transferring data from www.wunh.org" I'm gonna let it sit for a few and see what happens.
