a bunch of pretty awesome new cds have come out or are about to come out. specifically, strapping young lad, soilwork, sonata arctica, dark tranquility, and behemoth. has anyone else heard any of these.

i 'previewed' all of these using a certain file sharing program (dont worry, i plan on buying, just couldnt wait 2 months for some of these)

strapping young lad seems pretty straight forword syl, nothing new nothing old, the same old awesome them.

soilwork was up and down. i really like the whole thing but i feel like most people here wont like half the tracks. theres a lot of singing, but usually just in teh chorus'. a couple tracks are pretty hard though, going back to a predators portrait and even before. i think they did a good job

dark tranquility's album is awesome. their best in a long time. must buy. nuff said

sonata arcticas new album is mind shattering. definitly their best work EVER in my opinion. solid from start to beginning, incredible well written, high energy. solid solid solid. so dissapointed these guys wont be coming for metal fest any more...

anyone else heard any of these? thoughts?

read the thread on the nightwish tour being put off until next fall. band member issues or something. so they will hopefully both be coming then, but i'm assuming arctica wont be making the spring trek alone...
i hope they do, but its wishful thinking.

i got the new sonata yesterday, it is AWSOME i can't wait till they play over here im so there, i hope its not at metalfest cuz i wanna see them play for more then just 30min
