best band: the black dahlia murder. One of the only bands I really wanted to see at this show.

set ablaze was pretty good also.

beyond the embrace, didn't play.

we went, we saw, we ate, we night capped. not really.

no reserve: the shows was pretty muddied for them so I couldn't really get a feel for their sound.

winter solstice: it was ok, there were a few good parts to their set. It was sort of hopefall-like music with some parts that sounded more like norma jean. it was ok that BTE wasn't there cause these guys filled in with the wonder-twin guitar stack ups.

set ablaze: awesome. their set was so good. It remined me of the band ablaze my sorrow with their riffage, but there were also some of those acustic sounding bridge parts. I need to get some of their stuff for my show.

the black dahlia murder: these guys were also the reason that I was persauded to head up. They were pretty freaking good too. I was kind of looking forward to hearing more of the new tracks (since I've been listening to unhallowed nonstop), but they only played liek 2 songs from it.

another five aprils: sort of like a tougher version of FATA. I wasn't really into them especially not as a bridge between BDM and cannae.

cannae: Again, another great preformance from these guys. they played a bunch of the newer tracks. can't wait for the new cd.

oh yea, and bdm's drummer is fucking awesome.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 8,2003 2:44am
actually, I was more impressed with his playing before/in between songs. They played a lot of old tracks and it looked like the drummer was holding back to play it. I think the new cd tracks show off what he can do a lot more.

yeah i definetly see that, i think he was playing a lot of blasts and shit in between songs because they don't really have much in their songs.

he needs to move up here.

haha awesome. almost everyone in the black dahlia murder is rockin sideburns.
