SLIPKNOT GETS SUBLIMINAL FOR 2005

US ARENA TOUR IN MARCH WITH LAMB OF GOD AND SHADOWS FALL- PLUS TWO 2005 GRAMMY NOMINATIONS!!!

Be warned!! Three of the most important credible hard rock bands on the planet are coming to your town! Beginning March 4, 2005 titans of the present day hard rock scene – SLIPKNOT - bring LAMB OF GOD and SHADOWS FALL along with to-be-confirmed openers out on The Subliminal Verses Tour, sponsored by FUSE.

2005 Grammy nominees for Best Hard Rock Performance and Best Metal Performance, multi-platinum selling masters of the modern hard rock scene – SLIPKNOT - are headlining what promises to be one of the greatest tours in the history of the genre. “SLIPKNOT is the best metal band on the planet”- says The Washington Post. Hit Parader concurs - “THE KNOT remain a true 21st century rock and roll phenomenon- the band most responsible for providing style and substance to Metal (music today).” Over the last few years the Des Moines 9-piece has graced the pages of Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Spin, Revolver and countless more publications. They have stormed the stages of The Tonight Show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

SLIPKNOT’s extensive set will feature tracks from their critically-acclaimed, Rick Rubin-produced third album VOL. 3: (THE SUBLIMINAL VERSES) – most notable of which are the hit singles “Duality” and “Vermilion” (parts 1 and 2). The range and depth to the band’s music is most notably displayed on “Vermilion (Pt 2).” DC101 (WWDC in Washington, DC) says of the track “That song proves (yet again) that there is a lot more than metal to the music of SLIPKNOT. TOP TEN request two weeks running.” Another indicator of SLIPKNOT’s reach is their transition into the Hard Rock category at the Grammys. Their nomination this year, among bands like Velvet Revolver and label mates Nickelback speaks volumes of the band’s progression into the mainstream.

While wildly successful based on ticket sales (over 94% of total tickets were sold), SLIPKNOT’s touring in support of Vol. 3 has had limits imposed on it. First was the Jagermeister Music Tour, which played on smaller stages nationwide, then came Ozzfest, the nature of which results in shorter set times. This time around, SLIPKNOT’s performance is limited only by the wild imagination of the band, which means… expect the unexpected!

Genre titans, Virginia’s LAMB OF GOD add their unique talents to the powerful American hard rock mix delivering their signature pure American metal. . LAMB OF GOD’s critically acclaimed debut, AS THE PALACES BURN, was named Album of the Year in notable magazines Revolver, Metal Hammer and more. The band’s latest release, the equally lauded ASHES OF THE WAKE, made a strong showing at #27 on the Billboard charts. Years of extensive touring to support their music raised Lamb of God’s profile before the band released the critically acclaimed, AS THE PALACES BURN, winning such honors as Album of the Year in notable Magazines Revolver, Metal Hammer and more… while garnering mainstream press in Rolling Stone, Blender, Stuff, Spin and Entertainment Weekly. ASHES OF THE WAKE, their current release, is discussed by drummer Chris Adler “This album was the yin to the first record’s yang. Blazing and technical speed metal the way it should be done,” says Adler. On the Subliminal Verses Tour the band will be playing songs from this #27 Billboard-debuting album. The band’s vocalist, Randy Blythe, shares his thoughts on the tour-“A Slipknot /Lamb of God /Shadows Fall tour? Dear lord, what a mess. Thousands of screaming freaks, beer and God knows what else flying everywhere, large metal objects being smashed together, innocent bystanders weeping in confusion over the general mayhem…oh wait, that’s just the party in the parking lot before the show starts. Come inside and the REAL fun will begin. Have your mama pack you a lunch, cause it’s gonna be a long, hard night!”

Massachusetts rockers Shadows Fall return with THE WAR WITHIN, their critically acclaimed new album, which sees them perfecting the delicate balance between skill and brutality, classic metal influences and new-school characteristics. “With their new release Shadows Fall may have crafted the perfect metal album…Revolver; “Shadows Fall are the leaders of the thrash metal renaissance”...CMJ New Music Monthly. The stunning new offering already garnered mainstream accolades in Billboard, Blender, Stuff and the group were recently hailed as a “Band To Watch In 2005” by Spin magazine. THE WAR WITHIN also debuted at #20 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, making it one of the highest metal debuts of the year. SHADOWS FALL just completed an extremely successful co-headlining U.S. tour alongside Damageplan and The Haunted and vocalist Brian Fair comments on how excited he is to keep the momentum going this spring, “We're totally excited about our next U.S. tour where we once again will be playing with bands that we are not only friends with but also fans of. We've been friends with the guys in Slipknot for a while but have not had the chance to actually tour with them and we look forward to this opportunity. There should be lots of crazy tour stories to add to our growing list.”

Fans should brace themselves for unprecedented production (artistic backgrounds, unique staging, etc) and a full-force showing of the best rock music today!

“SLIPKNOT is the best metal band on the planet”- says The Washington Post.

Washington said he didn't chop down that cherry tree, why should we believe him now?

Hit Parader concurs - “THE KNOT remain a true 21st century rock and roll phenomenon- the band most responsible for providing style and substance to Metal (music today).”

Slipknot's style- gay masks to hide their ugly faces so that the mainstream fucks will accept them
Slipknot's substance- they have lyrics about non-conformity and THEY ARE NOMINATED FOR 2 GRAMMIES!!!

a rock and roll phenomenon indeed

for an "extreme" band slipknot really likes to gloat about how mainstream they are. and what exactly is "progressive?" using clean guitar and saying "fuck" only twice in a song?

Slipknot and Lamb of God are two of the worst bands on the planet, Shadows Fall is pretty mundane as well.

i love lamb of god and shadows fall. and while their image pisses the hell out of me, i like slipknots first two albums musically (hey, at least im honest)(please dont shoot me)

however, they are certainly not one of the most"progressive bands in metal" or "driving the genre" as the article said.
