I lucked out this time around in my illustration class...

Our current assignment is to make a comic book illustration, not necessarily a whole story, but a portion. This girl in my class and I are competing to see who disturbs the rest of the class the most. My hopes are that someone at least throws up a little in his or her mouth, heh heh. Unfortunately, we are limited to only 3 to 6 phrases of text supplied by the teacher, but i can work with it. Here's my idea:

first panel is a silhouette of a man and woman sitting at a romantic dinner setting. the lady's all romantic and shit, then you realize the guy is her dead husband propped up in the chair. she grabs a corkscrew off the table and jams it through his eye and then through the back of his skull, blood everywhere of course. she proceeds to sensually lick the eyeball, then brutally dismember him, caress her body with his blood, entrails and assorted organs in a euphoric state of delight. then she just gets up and leaves, and says "that was lovely." the end.

i know it sounds cheesy, but i'm taking extreme advantage of this assignment to be as disgusting as possible. i'll post it as soon as its done...most likely next week.

you are right though...subtlety done right can be way more disturbing than straight up nasty shit. but i've done that a lot before with my school projects. it's time to let loose and just create carnal grotesquery at its purest, finest and bloodiest. gore for gore's sake.
