I'm always looking to hear new bands that I wouldn't normally find on my own without the referral or recommendation of others. So I figured one thread about it might be helpful to all of us to discover some new bands and whatnot.

List a band and hopefully a website to go along with them and a brief synopsis of what you would describe them as. Post as many as you'd like.

Oh yeah, the mp3 links on their site are fucked up but just copy the file name and replace the forward-slash with a back-slash.

Most bands I listen to, have no sites. Here are three exceptions, all with sound samples and very good design:

Corpus Christii: http://corpuschristii.com
Merrimack - http://merrimack.satanslegions.com
Watain - http://templeofwatain.com

All of them play Black Metal ( far better than any of the Norse bands ), Corpus Christii being the harshest of the three and the other two being more technical.

CORPUS CHRISTII and MERRIMACK are pretty cool, though I wouldn't consider them outstanding... More BM in the vein of Scandanavia '91-'95... Not a bad thing, but the style's way overdone.

Eyes of Fire are AWFUL. i bought that cd. it sounds like they're trying to make neurosis riffs too technical and end up with a jump riff. they disgrace mindrot.
