my friend has this book. maybe i will borrow it. i haven't read a metal book since lords of chaos a few years ago. one of my favorite books is ghost rider by neil peart. great read.

i also recommend "Sound of the Beast" by Ian Christie. His description of the listening experience of old Black Sabbath sent a rush through me.

would you say this book would be helpful if you were writing a paper on the analysis of what death metal is?

Wow that's awesome that they used Aaron's pictures. I saw an ad for that book in a recent metal magazine and have been anxious to see it.
