a friend from the ESP guitar board posted this. this is one of five functional fighter jets found in the last two months. mostly all Migs.

I have a feeling alot of these are going to mirraculously be 'found just before election'

Kinda makes u think about where they may find the famed wmd's!

half way down theres a post about what they did with the heads of the statues of sadam hussein when they tore them down, I like the way it's written.
imagine going out for a morning jog and tripping on a mig jet barely sticking out of the ground?

The Hussein heads were shipped to a huge wearhouse in Wales. The same wearhouse that they keep all the old Eddie and Iron Maiden stuff from past tours in. The Somewhere in Iraq one looks badass.

you know you really gotta wonder what the iraqi military was thinking when they buried those planes. it's not like they could dig them out in 20 seconds, hop in, start em up, and then ambush us. they shoulda picked a better hiding spot

they were covered with nets and tarp-like things to partially protect them. They are still fully functional.

ya the US Military moved 5 Mig's at 20 tons each with massive amounts of man power, airlifting them, and burying them all so they could miraculously find them in time for the re-election of Bush....get fuckin' real. And then they have to find out a way to keep the 15,000 men that it took to do it quiet so that the big secret that they planted them there wouldn't get out. Holy shit the liberals have reached a new low. I can see the headlines now, "US Military ordered to airlift, plant and bury 5 Mig's at 20 tons each so that they may be "found" just in time for Bush re-election." Holy shit that is the dumbest of all of the conspiracy theories out there. Second headline, "Keeping 15,000 US Military Troops quiet a big deal for Bush campaign." Hahahahahahahahaha....retards.

for the record, I think the bushies are hiding things to bring them out right before the election. though now that people are "wise" to that trick, they will keep bin ladin under wraps for a little while longer (think reagan with the lebennon hostages)

but I SERIOUSLY doubt the gov't buried these migs.

Exactly, I'm not suggesting these were brought in and burried by the government, but I am suggestion that they kept it quiet until election time. after all, the photos were taken two months ago. usually stuff like that goes right to the media. These haven't been released yet. the only reason they were posted on the board is because the guy from the board too them.

::The discovery of the buried Iraqi jet fighters illustrates the problem faced by U.S. inspection teams searching Iraq for weapons of mass destruction. Iraq is larger in size than California, and the massive deserts south and west of Baghdad were used by Saddam Hussein to hide weapons during the first Gulf war. ::

thats incorrect. Iraq is roughly the size of Idaho.

I wish I were a buried fighter plane.

ok, but there's still the task of digging them out of 10 feet of sand!!!!! like i said, they were usesless for an ambush being buried there. and no missles on board? what was the point?
