They are Solid State's version of Dillinger Escape Plan, complete with light show, only they are a little more, hmm, what's the word I want, dramatic? I don't know, with DEP they just rock out and you're like all pissed and shit or whatever, but with Norma Jean they kind of have an aura to them... I like them personally.

I agree, replacing the red chord with throwdown is stupid. First you lose out because the red chord isn't playing, then you lose out again because throwdown is playing. I wanted to go to this to see the red chord and norma jean but now I don't think I will. Oh and norma jean is not solid state's version of DEP. Although I do like them, they aren't even in the same ball park as Dillinger.

norma jean is for fans of atreyu, as i lay dying and man on man action.

Norma Jean is very spazzy just like DEP, they use tons of lighting now like DEP, and they go nuts live like DEP. The analogy of "Norma Jean is Solid State's answer to DEP" is very accurate, especially considering their roster.

DEP is boring and annoying.
