Do you possess the knowledge to record tracks to a pc?
I need 8 to 10 people that do.

Fucking Karate Chop will be the first online band from rttp, ever.

Basically, this is the idea;

I record a drum track. I send it to member #2.
#2 records his track. sends to #3...and so on until all members are done.
I then mix and master.

We start with one song, if it works, then maybe more. If not..
Itll be fuckin funny.
You never have to goto band practice with Fucking Karate Chop.

hey man, most onboard sound cards have a line in...all ud need is a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter.

dude i have had this idea 100 times and i only know 1 person with a comparible recording setup to mine and he is 10 times the musician i am so it never works.

I give 2 shits about tech, speed, or length...just make sure the recording is audible.

actualy. i was recording some drums the other day for shit i wrote with my "band" and then the guitar player quit cause i gave him shit for missing practice. let me clean up the recording and send you a copy later tommorow. it will be audible. the only thing is i still need to put more padding up in the room and make the toms sound a little more dead. everything sounds good except the toms have a weird ring to them on the recording but sound so good in this room.

hey kok...i got a sweet fostex digital that usbs right into my comp. should they be wavs? i can easily do wavs, and i can convert to mp3s if needed

yes any contibutions need to be in wav format so they can be opened up in any program.

kok and i are both using acid pro 4. 24 bit. wav.

we might start sending mp3's(smaller files faster transfer) just to write things but anything that is gonna be final needs to be in wav so it can be opened as a seperate track for mixing/editing.

i recorded some more drums today. i didnt write a song i just got baked and went nuts for 10 minutes at a time.

im gonna slice and dice them together into a song and maybe add like an into and fills later after the core beats are laid down. should be done later tonite or early tommorow.

i can do some guitar, i have pro tools so recording isn't a problem

so should i just make a few riffs and then you will loop them or will you get a complete track and sent it over?
i got a nice roland keyboard and i can play some good van halen style solos like eruption, and the beat it solo and various others


and what tuning would you wanna do the songs, dont matter to me but i usually use 1/2 step down.

i have some drum beats im looping together in song form. sending them to kok. i could send em straight to whomever. they dont have to start with drums i guess. so if you wanted to send a few riffs in time and a few fills or whatever or just write songs on guitar. and well make rythym for it.

whatever as far as i know there are no rules. im going out now and will be on at about midnite if anyone wants to send files anywhere.

yeah im sticking things together right now. i only had like 10 minutes to throw down some beats earlier before my job interview. im trying to slice some of it together but of course i did not use a metro nome so every time i started and stopped it was in a different tempo.
