Laughed out loud because I don't disagree. for instance: if you want a Medical Marijuana card in MA, you must surrender your LTC. Totally cool to go to the store and buy a handle of Popov with your LTC, though. Very small niche example of the hypocrisy of government in the bay state.

That is actually the case in NH and everywhere as well. It's because firearms are federally regulated and using "recreational" drugs makes you ineligible to purchase or own them. Same with involuntary mental health hospitalizations, domestic violence charges, felonies, etc. It's not necessarily the states fault that medical users lose their 2A, it's definitely more an issue of the fed being overbearing. Most states also prohibit carrying a firearm while drinking as well. Not that it really stops anyone.
