[QUOTE="the_reverend:103566"]PRESS RELEASE July 22nd, 2004 For Immediate Release MASTODON COMPLETE WORK ON NEW MUSIC VIDEO Relapse Records recording artists MASTODON have completed work on the first music video from their forthcoming album Leviathan. The video, for the song "Iron Tusk" was shot on location in the band's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia with director Chad Rullman. Rullman is known previously for directing MASTODON's much-aired "March of the Fire Ants" video as well as his video-based work with NEUROSIS. The video, said to be a 'symbolic representation of Herman Melville's classic novel Moby Dick and its lead character Captain Ahab', also features MASTODON performing as a part of the story line. Still images from the video, which is expected to make its world premiere imminently can be found here: http://relapse.com/preview/mastodonvideo.jpg
MASTODON's Leviathan is slated for an August 31st U.S. release date and a September 13th European release date via Relapse. The band will preview songs from the highly anticipated album when they appear amongst the headlining acts at Hellfest 2004 this Friday, July 23rd in Elizabeth, New Jersey. MASTODON will then kick off a U.S. tour alongside FEAR FACTORY beginning July 26th in Towson, Maryland. A full list of upcoming MASTODON live performances appears at the bottom of this message. Updated MASTODON news and tour dates / info. will be made available via the Relapse Records website:
