I think that the quality of TV shows has replaced the quantity of shows. There used to be 4 shows on Friday nights that everyone watched on the same channel.. same with other days off the week. Now there are maybe one show a week or 2 shows a week that are shows you watch, but the quality of them is cinematic. It's like they are putting all their eggs in one basket in a lot of networks cases. I would love to see the $ ad revenue generation on a cyclical plot based on weeks and maybe seasons.
