This is why I appreciate Blut Aus Nord. The project began with a more traditional black metal approach, but over the years he's been able to tranform his sound while still remaining relevant. His playing style is unorthodox yet he's taken the genre to the place it was meant to go. Logical progression; black metal for the 21st century, indeed.
