Correspondence today with Relapse records. You may get a kick out of this:

No, I quit Black Pyramid, I was done with the band. The other two are making sure that the album comes out still, I think it's our peak, so fuck it, nothing left for me to do in music. There is no Black Pyramid, so no, you cannot get us what we need, sorry. Thus, you have nothing to bargain with, no currency of any sort with me.

Unfortunately, that also means I can tell you plainly and truly that I do not really caring what happens with bands like Howl and Black Tusk. Honestly I find both to be mediocre at best, which is my reasoning for not really wanting to go out of my way by any means to have Howl play here, or to really care about a tour with a band like Black Tusk, who we would outdraw in the Northeast anyways. This goes for most of the Relapse roster, although there are a few bands you guys have that I like, here and there. Really, neither band had anything to offer me other than a business opportunity, so I keep up appearances.

Most of the bands that I like on Relapse are the bands that want to get out of their contracts, so that pretty much gives me a good idea of why you are losing people at your company left and right, as I can get an accurate depiction of how you must run your business model. Asking $400$-$500 for a band with zero draw who live an hour and a half away, yeah, that's actually quite funny, and makes you out to be a bit of joke, unfortunately. Thinking a band like that is worth that kind of money as a guarantee, when High On Fire, Torche, and Kylesa drew less than 150 people in this town is pretty deluded, Gordon, I really have to tell you.

There is no reason for me to do so anymore, so I am sorry to say, there is no reason for me to help you.
Good luck with your endeavours though, and the company. Do me a favour and do not contact me again, for anything, ever.

Apologies for the delay in getting back. We lost a few people here and I am covering 2 extra gigs besides my own. Please shoot me.

Nov. 20 doesn’t work for Howl unfortunately as they are committed in Dover , NH that day. Nov. 18 & 19 are the only dates they are open currently, but each may be to close to the Thursday event you mention? We can work w/ you/promoter on the finances so BP can get what you need. Would be nice to have them play w/ a quality non metal-core support band in Mass haha.

The Black Tusk tour has gotten a little wonky too. Would BP be available to play a Boston show on Nov. 6. I have asked the agent to please hold a slot if you can do it/are available/are interested. If so, please let me know Andy.
