HAVING TROUBLE READING THIS EMAIL, OR NOT SEEING THE GOODIES? Check out the original blog entry here:
http://apoprecords.blogspot.com/2011/07/7-...1-11-coffin-joe-trikont-sparks.html
Hey there, ya sweaty bastards! Another hot list of jams to accelerate the fever sickness. But you know what we say, if you can't take the heat, get the fuck out of the shop! We will, however, give you a break on the evening shows. Ain't nuthin' but our lil' ol' film nights to offer until August 2nd. Conveniently, there is one tonight, and as always it is free and highly air conditioned. This evening we present an installment of the infamous Brazilian Coffin Joe films: THE AWAKENING OF THE BEAST!

But if you can't make it down for the film tonight, be sure to drop in soon, we've LOADS of really great stuff in, New and Used.
In the vinyl department, expect bunches of punk 7"s, freshly pressed
BRAINBOMBS
reish from the Swede
SKRAMMEL
label (note: only Genius & Brutality... is listed, but we've other stuff on the shelves, they'll be repped in our next update), MEDICAL merch featuring some of our personal NDW and synth-wave favorites such as the beloved saucy Italian duo
CHRISMA
(KRISMA), welle pioneers
DER PLAN
(oh, you know how to Gummitwist, but have you delved deeper?), and a wax version of a 2005 Kernkrach CD culling discovered material from the inimitable
GUYER'S CONNECTION
. If you're a regular listener of the
RUNDFUNKMUZIEK
http://rundfunkmuziek.posterous.com/
show on IFM's Black Monday, you've probably caught some of these rarer GC trax.

While we're pretty tidy in notable reissues--consider picking up the
REATARD'S
1st LP (it comes with previously cassette-only bonus material), or the
LUNGFISH-
-we certainly aren't hiding in the past! We've the heavily anticipated
COM TRUISE
LP on
GHOSTLY INTL
, and yet another solid release from the Teutonic post-punk / neu-neu-welle HORRID RED. Seeming to favor the "small plates" method of production, HR's steady stream of reliably excellent cassettes and EPs easily earn them a break away from the Der TPK "side project" status.

CDs are incoming with alarming vehemency. People left and right are flipping their collections to us, which is great. Who can bitch about a 6 dollar
MASONNA
disc? This also means, however, some uber-cheapo, near disposable nonsense, too. Well, let's shrug it off as something for the bubblegum fans, ironic dance parties, or the little sis. Cocooned as we are in our limited world of great oddities, it's rather shocking to see things we've missed over the years, for better or worse. Who knew that Blackletter became a popular type for Top 40 fodder?! Anyhow, we're having to build a whole 'nother big shelf just to house our discount discs; that's $5 and under, buy 2 get 1.
Also, some inevitable rearranging and re-organizing is in the works. What a pain, but it should make perusing the recent arrivals as well as navigating our admittedly maze like genre sections a bit easier for you, our dear followers. We're still ordering new CDs, however, and this update proudly boasts a slew of
TRIKONT
items. Archivers of past and present music worldly and other-worldly, "Our Own Voice" is the vanguard they fly for their unique compilations. Drug influenced jazz, relics of black Americana, immigrant pop music in the EU, and songs about doom & gloom are just a few of the fascinatingly themed collections we now share with you. Additionally, some are available on LP! Here's some classic Betty LaVette from
DIRTY LAUNDRY V1:

As if this update weren't overflowing as it is, let us share with you one more thing. Well, really, it's three; three different versions of
SPARKS
' Seduction of Ingmar Bergman, a radio play solicited by Radio Sverige. Not satisfied with the usual CD / LP dual release format, nope, this serious endeavor required an unusually serious third version; a specialty boxed edition with 2x2xLP in English AND Swedish, a CD and booklet. Oh my!
Ah crud, you know what we forgot? All the new mags, comix, zines and such.. Groan. Uh, OK real fast,
LOVE AND ROCKETS
, a variety of
R CRUMB
including more
WEIRDO
and
ZAP
, latest garage and psych fetishmag
SHINDIG!
and a bunch more punk t-shirts. Lawdy!
Recent Acquisitions:
New shipments arrive daily, and we are always putting out more used vinyl, super cheap cds, vhs, dvds, books, zines, and the list goes on and on.
