Im not a spokesman for as220. I did live in prov for 6 months. I do frequent the providence message board (lotsofnoise.com) and I was just telling it as I understand it. They get state grants that allow them to exist on the level that they do so they have to let all RI bands play. The keep boston out of providence attitude is just the way it has been for a while I guess. It's not just cause of AC and DD but other incidents. More recently Robin vs. AS220.....the thread for that is quite hilarious btw...... for whatever it's worth the entertainment director or whoever is stepping down and a new person is taking their place. They handle the sound and booking and stuff. Maybe the new person will be more flexible? Who really cares? Place is a fucking hipster magnet anyways. More Olneyville shows FTW.
