mass marketing doesn't have a high success rate. About what 1%-10% of people might go. who hasn't seen this first hand? give out three hundred get 3 people to show up.

I've flier-ed similar shows, I'm not saying it should stop, it must be and should be done! It should be done more so.

I've been trying to think up of a more focused attack that’s not fliering, and not internet based to promote local shows. Something with more of a success rate around 25%. Still thinking it up, haha.(word of mouth but, I wanted something more material)

I've found that the more personal i get with the person the more likely they'll show up. But at the same time i fucking hate being that douche that like "hey check out my band bro dude guy." Physically hurts me. Another problem is that I can also be quite the dick if the person i'm talking to is a tool, 30 second conversation can reveal that.

Yet another thing that works, organizing car pools. I’m on the south shore, public transportation sucks, and gas is $4. My band would never have been able to bring out 19 people (not including band members) all the way out to fucking Worcester if I didn’t set up carpools for interested parties. Ok that’s not a lot of people really, but our draw would have been maybe <5 if I didn’t do this.
