Yeah, those sell new for around $350. You don't need to take my word for it, go ebay it.

It's very normal for an owner to have an attachment or inflated sense of worth for their gear. Heck, lookit all the guys on ebay and craiglist think that new pickups or other mods increase their instruments financial value, when in reality it only increases the instrument's worth to THEM.

Short version is, the schecter omen is typically everyone's first 7 string because they sell regularly for around $200-300 used. While $300 is not completely unreasonable, it IS the absolute top price to ask.

As for Jazz guitars, can't go wrong with one of THESE for $269:

I know a guy who has a $6000 custom Gretsch. He picked up one of those douglas guitars and swapped some of the hardware (it had a righty bridge on the lefty model) and he swears it plays and feels better in every way than the gretsch.
