The success of christianity was built upon fear and pessimism. Jesus, the optimistic altruist, preached peace and had 13 followers. Paul, the pessimistic propagandist, promised the threat of hell and had what turned into billions of followers. Now nobody is beating the bible, threatening the fire and brimstone of hell like they used to. Shit's done. Good riddance.
