Otherwise they'll ask me to do Dell diagnostics and jump through a shitload of hoops when I already know what's wrong. I just give them the one symptom that they can't verify over the phone and always results in warranty replacement. IE: "drive is making a clicking noise and OS installation doesn't see any available hard drives when installing. plus other drives work fine in this machine" etc Naturally, the steps they have you go through are usually good, but I like to do my troubleshooting beforehand so I can a) figure shit out on my own. b) not talk to people on the phone.. so their troubleshooting steps are redundant :D[/QUOTE]
