We also had an experience when we played in Brattleboro in 05. The place was called the Common Ground- a little hippie/coffee shop type place. Last second, owner says there was a water main break in the building... lady next door said that was a lie. After an hour or two of looking, we found the hippie owner sipping tea at a local teashop and persuaded him to get the show on because of bands coming from all over. He eventually gave in and the show went on. Needless to say, I don't even think that place is open anymore. Brattleboro isn't a bad area though, you can walk around naked. I love VT but they need a solid place for metal shows now. Unless there's already one..
