(especially on custom drums) You should also take time to check out all of the exotic wood veneers. Some of the birds-eye, or quilted maple veneers make drums look spectacular. I mean shit, those two finishes you posted above look tremendously tremendous. (and i've heard some "trick" sets before, the special metal alloy they use has great tone and projection.)
