ANY time you talk about ANYTHING like "beliefs" at work, you are taking a chance on offending someone. Sorry buds, but it doesn't matter how much someone "pushes" you to say how you feel, if that feeling is hurtful to others, than in todays workforce you will be removed.

I REALLY hate to say it, because i don't think hurting someones fucking feelings SHOULD be grounds for being dismissed, but it is..... and the "double standard" argument that people will make about his feelings/beliefs being offended is invalid because of one simple thing. He didn't complain first. If he had went to HR and told them that this person was trying to make him feel bad about being christian, then it WOULD have went the other way. But he didn't, and they did.

its fucking sad as hell that people can't be comfortable in their workplace and be who they are while they are there. I could care less if a co-worker came up to me and seriously asked me to lay down so they could masturbate on my face. I'm not gonna go to HR after ONE comment. if its a problem that persists for atleast a couple weeks, sure, i might say something, but even then, it would be more like "hey... can you say something to Joe Schmoe, he's almost getting out of hand..." not "OMG I WILL SUE THIS COMPANY BECAUSE HE SAID SOMETHING ONCE THAT DOESN'T REALLY EFFECT MY ABILITY TO PERFORM MY JOB. I WANT MY FIVE SECONDS IN THE SPOTLIGHT BOOHOOO!".

people like that make me fucking sick. i could give a shit less if a person was gay. i could care less if a person loved to snowball semen mixed with diarrhea... hell i could give a shit less if they gargled their own acid reflux induced vomit in front of me: i am not going to potentially ruin someone's life by getting them fired over something that doesnt interrupt my ability to do my job and go on and carry out my day otherwise. it takes a true piece of shit to do something like that.

this is a problem that "verbal sexual harassment" has created. if a combination of words ruins your life to the point where you need a ludicrous amount of money to bandage your emotional rat claw-esque scratch... you should recruit the help of a barrett m107 to help fix your train of thought.

physical contact, however, is a different story.

if i had any say in this... i would fire the asshole that whined and bitched about the religious guy. you can't ask for something, then cry about it after you get what it is that you were looking for. granted his views on a subject werent directly asked for, but baiting someone is still searching for something specific.

if that "co-worker" i mentioned earlier kept bothering me by bringing up how awesome his partner was at snowballing shitcum, i would just tell him that i could care less and dont believe in the act of doing such a thing, which it seems like the religious guy did something similar. if he said that he morally didnt believe in homosexuality, there wouldnt have been an issue.

a man's beliefs are a man's beliefs, regardless of what drives them.

i have seen instances where a person that is in the gay community baits an employee of an establishment that i worked at in to getting pissed off and saying something to them, which in turn prompts the master baiter (HA!) to become a cry baby weasel and demand to speak to a manager and then demand to have that person fired or else they will sue. this is a no bullshit, real-world situation that probably goes on more than anyone would like to admit. its shitty. if gay people want credibility, then dont throw your gayness in other people's faces. i love shoe-horning my giant two-handed BROADsword into vaginas, but you dont see me marching in parades about it. actually, i'm gonna start a straight person parade. the plight of the straight person that deals with overly dramatic gay people is in dire need of public awareness.

fuck your inability to just go on like everyone else and go to work and not rub your "lifestyle" in other people's faces.

sorry for wall of text.
