XnameX originally meant that you were straight edge.... for some reason people who are not straightedge put x's around their name too.

and dude, just because someone has x's around their screen name doesn't mean they are forcing straight edge upon you. Straight edge kids go to shows and are around people smoking, those people dont' give a shit...there are beer/ciggarette ads everywhere you look... so who's getting shit forced in their face? I don't think I've seen any straight edge advertisements on tv, or in magazines.
