JAWS

Mon, July 27 @ 7:00

"This shark, swallow you whole."

When a leviathan of a Great White begins making snacks out of the good people of Amity Island, it's up to police Chief Brody, the grizzled fisherman Quint, and Richard Dreyfuss to embark on one of the greatest fish stories ever told. The physical scars these men boast and brandish in the cabin of the Orca seem like paper cuts when compared to the carnage inflicted by the teeth of their intended prey. Will these men have what it takes to reel in the horror that awaits them beneath the waves? One thing is for certain; they're going to need a bigger boat.

Very few films have the ability to instill deep rooted phobias in those who sit down to watch them. Steven Spielberg's 1975 classic terrified moviegoers to a point that almost crippled the shoreline tourism trade at the time of it's release. Thirty three years later, the thought of a wide-open and sharp-toothed abyss lurking just beneath the surface is still very present in the minds of any swimmer whose feet leave the safety of the sea-floor.

dir. Steven Spielberg w/ Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, Robert Shaw 2h4m

KILL BILL DOUBLE FEATURE

Mon, Aug 3 @ 7:00

"Do you find me sadistic?"

Quentin Tarantino's deadly Bride (Uma Thurman) slashes her way to vengeance in this two- part film that pays homage to genres ranging from Japanese Pinky Violence to classic Chinese kung-fu with a little bite of Fulci undead thrown in for good measure.

When the Bride awakes from her coma and finds that the child she was carrying was among the victims of a wedding day massacre ordered by her former master, Bill (David Carradine), she composes her "Death List Five", and begins to cross off the names that took away all she held dear. Armed with a blade crafted by the legendary Hatori Hanzo (Sonny Chiba), she begins to sever the limbs of all those that stand between her and her intended prey.

dir. Quentin Tarantino w/ Uma Thurman, Michael Madsen, Sonny Chiba, 4h8m

Tickets

(note: I'd get tickets early cus these events can sell out pretty well. I'm working those two nights so come by and say hi! I can give you popcorn and soda for free!)
