Honestly, someone explain to me what is/has been so special about these bands.

I can understand & respect the technical skills of all musicians involved in these bands. Is that the only thing why people drool over them?
I also understand they put on excellent shows.

The only DT album I can kind of listen to is Awake. But this kind of stuff contains 0 emotion in the music.

But how come it seems the bands that are both technical and emotion-filled are ignored or forgotten?

First band that somewhat relates to their style is Psychotic Waltz. What the fuck? How come no body drools over this band? Don't people realize they were 15 years ahead of their time in 1990?
