this is not true. wood is not just wood. different woods have different properties and characteristics, which in turn have more or less desirable qualities depending on your style, philosophy and what you like.
the age and maturity of the wood also play a factor. wood is wood, but there are still lots of variables.


I fully agree. I meant like a mahogany guitar will have the same properties as a mahogany bass. Or at least give you a rough estimate. I didn't mean all woos sound the same.
