squash bowels: wow... They sounded soooo much better tonight compared with obriens. The sound was massive. They also had a lot more room so the guy that stood perfectly still on the stage in obreins raged all over the place, headbanging. I think i missed the singer jumping. Lame. Dwyer said they did a Gut song. That strengths my feelings that they can do anything without a pitchshifter (live) that any other band would need one to do.

martyr: yes! I have wanted to se these guys for way too long. It was pure bliss. The were all voivody and techy while banging their heads. Made for a nerdy metal spectacular. If i could have gotten them to play the entire album of killing technology, i would have sat there drooling for 40 minutes. Techy DM bands from canada always make the goofiest faces. Even if this is the only band i can think of right now that does it, just look at the pictures. When you can get that good that you can untinkingly play music like that, headbang, and make rediculous faces, you have won.

grave: super long set up time. I think they should have rushed on stage after martyr to capitalize on their energy. Damn, the only 2-3 songs i want to hear are at the end of their set. They of course sounded super good. I would have liked it if they had gotten to play one other show in the states before they played MDF so they would have been a little more relaxed/into it on stage, but that's ok. The singer always is a little stiff on stage anyhow. I left after the song about jesus.
