I do respect old school rap, especially from the 80s/early 90s. There really is no type of music I don't hate, I view it all as art (that is, except new-age hiphop crap. I just don't get it. They should just call it Urban Ghetto Poetry nowadays). I used to experiment writing all kinds of music in the 90s because I believed at some point in my life, it would be useful to have many influences. Let's face it. Music is pretty much dead. It seems just about everything has been done. I really dig avantgarde shit too, but sometimes it just seems people try too hard to express themselves musically.
