I record quite a bit of shit direct from my amp to the computer and I'd rather run it as a direct out than putting a mic in front of the amp to the computer. When I record shit like this I like to run it from the amp to the computer without fucking around with mics. I know dick about the spider III, but, from what I can assume they probably have fixed that problem. the headphone jack is the direct out. i use it to record my stuff when i'm bored. but i'm kinda bored with the amp so i mess around with logic and stuff to get better sounds from it.
