despised icon: It's funny seeing Al in this band. Funnier still seeing BSV and Adam at this show. This band is a great bridge between the two worlds of music and Al just adds to it. when Al walked up on stage, I saw him hand a pick to someone. He walked over to me and I said that he should put his face on his picks. he plops one down and it's already there. this dude is like 4 months of more ahead of me. er.. joke-wise at least. Their set was completely sick. kids in the audience even knew the songs from the CD that just came out (I think they were actually the new songs on the myspace). The shorter singer kept having to hold himself up on the slippery monitors.

through the eyes of the dead: Hilarious that the nate johnson fan club shuffled in just for these guys set. Friends and Family... though the friends were all wasted. the family, not so much. I also went from the only photographer to one of like 2324232 on that stage. The whole set was a lot better than th eother times I saw them. I just didn't hear as much guitar masturbation. Even the new MS track is missing it. Watching all the people from the back of the stage run over and attempt stage diving was the funniest part.

red chord, the: Odd.. the NJ4LIF club left after tteotd so the room was a little less full. It didn't help the temperature and the humidity. You couldn't really notice the missing people unless you looked into the middle of the pit. This is probably the first time I've ever seen them with so much time to play. All the most recent time, they are flying through the set. this time they were able to waltz through all the tracks. Not only did they play 4 songs from revolving doors, but 4+ songs from the new CD, and I think 4 from clients. Most of the songs featured guest vocals by whom ever in the crowd got to the mic.
