carnivore: watching people on the stage trying to get the carnivore set up on stage was like watching 10 guys trying to put the pieces of 10 rubix cubes back together while riding on horses running though the desert. It looked like at some point it might look like something.. Just not any time soon. I had been hoping that the carnivore banner behind everything had been covering a huge drumset, but it wasn't. they set a drumset up right where all the other drums had been. They also had strobes on every guitar cab, spotlights on the bass cabs, and floods to either side of the stage. I heard the stage dude taking about tons of blood being shot at the crowd so I took up residence behind a PA. The set rocked. They didn't play a single song that I didn't want to hear. There were technical difficulties with the iPod samples and one of the guitar heads, but that was minor.. Ok, the guitar head thing was a little najor. The roadies tosed morons off the stage. They just continuted to play through songs that I love. It was awesome to see them, the spectacle, and all the drunken people thrashing til death! For some reason, my phone battery was completely dying and I had to pick carina up so I missed their last hoo-haa, but as carina and I met up, shattered liz called her to say that she got hit with meat! granted it's not the first time the people in this crowd have been assaulted by meat products (and I'm sure not the last), but I wish I could have shot the bloody mayhem. As we drove back by, people were running in the streets with bloody blowup dolls.
