Kok, I understand your point here, but most people in the entertainment industry get large amounts of vacation time because they get a fuck ton of money for what they do. Some actors take YEARS off.

This guy worked on two shows that involved millions upon millions of viewers. Production work can be very demanding and honestly, but he makes so much money for a chunk of the year that he probably handed the reins over to assistant producers and got the vaca as part of a contract.

So why isn't he going to take a lot of vacation? You probably would too if you were filthy rich and could.
