affiliated, the: they were the opening band, filling the slot left open by no roses. decent hardcore, but not too many people in the crowd seemed to know them or care. its going to take a few more shows and demos before kids are piling up and singing along with the.

a loss for word: as I've said plenty of times, this isnt really my style, but they have a lot of energy and are fun live. I knew I was seeing them tonight so I listened to sunny day realeaste and errortype:11 during the day getting ready. before they went on, I looked around. just like all the other al4ws shows, there are tons of girls there too see them. girls love AL4W. the band played one song with out the singer. he was MIA and making a phone call outsie or something. the instrumental was actually their coolest song musically. I swear I heard some people singing along to it too. they did a cover at the end of hardcore pride. shit got deadly.

colin of arabia: they used AL4W's equipment so they were on in a couple minutes. matty (al4ws singer) came running in without his shirt on and yelled "I'm colin of arabia and if you tell anybody about this, I'll fucking kill you" just like colin used to say. they played a song with him singing. colin comes up in the back, matty dropped the mic and took off like he did something wrong. So with colin on the stage they go on with their set. the first 1/2 of their set was all new stuff that I didnt know. at the 1/2 way point, they played a bad brains cover the regulator going out to kris mission. ironically, one of the chorus of that song sounded like "yeahyeahyeah". the last part of their set was all older tracks.

set your goals: I've never hear nor hear of these guys before. they were good. mostly hardcore with some emo-ish singing in parts. they had 2 singers. the most interesting thing was that all the kids kept rushing the stage. they had to have people up on the stage keeping kids from toppling over the drums. their set ended.. badly... the singer from al4w, matty, fell hard and was knocked out. sad ending.

guns up!: my second time see them lately. before that it had been a long time. unfortunately, there werent all the posi kids in the front for me. that's when it's really fun to see them live. their music was great. they have gotten better. the have heart shirt really confused me.. the set ended with my CF card being completely full. perfect timing.
